A google bomb is done by pointing hundreds or thousands of links to a page to obtain great search results on a single keyword phrase. One of the most famous google bombs was that of George Bush’s Bio page bombed in 2004. Still till this day if you type in “miserable failure” in yahoo, it will come up. Google fixed it, so they say… Still if you do a search for miserable and any word in that title or description of the Bio page your going to come up with a whitehouse.gov website in the results. Now don’t get me wrong…I wouldn’t try link bombing for any of my own sites. The whitehouse.gov website has about the most trust with the search engines and Google’s not about to ban the website. However if some random guy comes around and does it, that guys chances of being banned are much higher. The second option spammers may attempt is to do is link-bomb some trusted site where you can create a profile. But then again owners of those sites will probably just ban your profile before they get hit. Share your 2 cents on google bombing.
