Introduction to Search Methods

Published by admin at 5:10 pm under Link Building

An Seo will use a number of techniques to separate the mud from great link building opportunities. One way to do this is by learning how to search.

If you search for add link, your going to get a crazy amount of results and most will not be worth your researching effort. Start narrowing your results by placing terms within quotes.

“your keyword” “add site”

“your keyword” “submit site”

“your keyword” “submit article”

Now you can take it a step further and specify an extension. Links built on trusted educational websites can help give your rankings a nudge.

“submit website” site:.edu
“your keyword resources” site:.edu (find these and ask to be added, it’s worth it)

Search for Geo-targeted link building opportunities:

illinois “submit news” site:.org
illinois “submit press” site:.com

Find sites that you can advertise on that the competition may never find by narrowing down your results by filtering out popular .com’s and .org’s

Since they may be having a hard time getting found you may be able to get an annual text link placement for a very low price.

“keyword” “advertise here” site:.ws
“keyword” “advertise here” site:.us

This post just scratches the surface. Get out a notebook and begin listing a number of search parameters you can use to find a great link building opportunity. You may come up with that golden egg of a search query. If you do share it with me. ;)

If you have any other great search tips post a comment.
