There are a few good ways to narrow down your search for pages you believe you can be included on. Take a guy who owns a business website selling discount ford parts. This person may have searched online for the keywords “ford links” or “ford websites” reciprocal, but maybe only junk is coming up in the results. Maybe the only pages that come up have hundreds of external links causing to share the appearance of a link farm. If you haven’t learned already, it’s now about that time to search Google like a pro. First lets talk a little about the allintitle search parameter. This helps you narrow down your search to only pages with your selection of words in the title. When building a link to your site from a page where your keywords are in their title tag, this can be a good value.

As you can see, a couple good candidate pages came up for someone with ford website looking to building links. In many cases “favorite link pages” aren’t always the strongest links to get but they can still help. Every little bit counts, not to mention you may get a few visits here and there. I mention the following a couple more times, don’t waste time getting included on a link page with hundreds of external links already listed. It’s like being a thirsty animal in a hot desert approaching a small puddle surrounded by a bunch of wildebeest. The juice is gone.
How about the Allinurl: parameter
The allinurl parameter is also a useful way of searching online for certain pages. Instead of looking in the title tag Google searches for the the string of text in the url.
As you come up with these results remember the pages that may link to you need to go through a review by you. Avoid adding your link to a page containing to many to count. You don’t want to earn a link farm’s negative affects on page rank. If there a just a few links to related sources on the page you found a winner. There are a variety of ways you can use these parameter search methods to your advantage. Be inventive and give it a test drive. You may come up with a new, really effective way to build quality links to your website.
Collecting a great variety of link building methods is one of the most confusing pieces to the SEO puzzle. The flip side to this is once you have your great collection, better search engine results will come.
