Forum Marketing, Be a Toilet Sticker
It probably gets a couple minutes of viewing by roughly 20 employees daily. 5 minutes viewing from me, I like to read and send text messages. Anyways, a couple hundred of these stickers around town can probably get this company a decent amount of attention.
This kind of reminds me of forum spam… Continue Reading »

Article Marketing Continued - The Footprint
Many websites are built off of widely used software applications. For example myself along with a million other people use the wordpress blog platform. Finding only wordpress blogs can be done by searching for “powered by wordpress” (the footprint) within Google or yahoo.

Commentators, Keep It Clean
One common way a webmarketer will build up links and web presence quickly is by posting comments on blogs. I usually keep this method to a minimum. When I do comment, I will try to bring a good honest opinion with my comment. Not a “Who agrees with the author?” comment and thats it. That’s Cheesy. Continue Reading »

Book on 22 Marketing Laws
Last night I needed to take my wife and child to the urgent care for an ear ache my step son was having. Once we got to the clinic they went inside while my daughter and I drove across the street to wait for them at the Barnes and Noble. I picked up the first marketing book that caught my interest and proceeded up the escalator to let her play in the children section while we wait for my Wife’s call to come pick them up. The marketing book was titled, “The 22 Immutable laws of marketing: Violate them at your own risk!”.

Earning money by blogging
One way to make money online is by starting a blog about the things you love. When deciding your topic, also try to keep the competitive business markets in mind when choosing catagories. For example, if you want to start a personal blog about beauty and family, consider writing about health and travel also. Hilton Grand Vacations will pay affiliates $25 for each referral made. If you write a few hundred posts over the next couple years about Traveling to different areas, this could really pay off.

CSS Reduces Bounce Rate
CSS stands for Cascading Style Sheets. Basically it’s code that will define how html elements are displayed on your website. With CSS implemented on your site, this can eliminate hours of work when it comes to making or editing font size and colors. CSS will also reduce the size of your page. If you have a page with a long menu made up of images, these can easily be converted to css buttons. By replacing 20 images with 20 css buttons your page load time will increase some. Education and Internet Marketing with Twitter
I’ve been getting more familiar with socail media lately. I found some time to get on Twitter and found it was a useful tool which opened the door to some new marketing possibilities. Once logged in, my plan was not to go spam a shit load of twitter people. Instead I just checked it out and got to know how the community works. It was pretty simple. Once registered I dropped a few lines talking about what I was doing. That’s basically what it does, it lets you update your page with little short tidbits on what you are doing at that moment. SEO Gone? No Way
I’ve been reading articles and blog posts online stating SEO is dead or has no future. Is there a such thing as “NOT” being able to optimize a website for search engine performance? Of course not. There will always be something you can do to help your website rank higher. Therefore, there will always be SEO. As long as search engines exist, seo will exist. Some people assume that seo is just the practice of link building or working on a website’s onsite keyword density for higher rankings. These are just a couple ingredients used for search engine ranking.

Link building with contests
I recently recieved an email from a company who sells automotive cleaning products. They were holding an interesting contest for car clubs. His email provided quick details about the contest and the Grand prize for first place which was a $1500 donation towards the car club’s choice in a charity. He then went on to ask, “Can I write up a nice detailed page about this contest for you to post on your automotive website?” After some thought I said I would. Continue Reading »
